That expansion brush broke mid-sweep and left soot everywhere
Last Saturday I was doing a routine flue clean in St. Paul and the tension spring on my rotary brush just snapped at the third section of the flue. The brush head stayed stuck about 15 feet up while the cable kept spinning, which threw black dust all over the liner. I had to fish it out with a magnet on a rope, took an extra 40 minutes, and the customer watched the whole thing. Has anyone else had an expansion brush fail like that, or is there a tougher brand that holds up better?
