Guy at the supply house told me to stop sweeping oil flues with the same poly brushes, now I'm second guessing my whole setup
He grabbed one of my 16 inch poly brushes and said the creosote up in Bangor eats them in a single season, and I'm wondering if he's onto something or just trying to sell me his wire set. Half the old timers I know have run poly for 20 years with no complaints, but I did notice mine fraying faster this winter. Any of you running wire on oil, or is that overkill on a clay liner?
