Service tonight made me question my whole career choice

Last Friday we had a 40 cover walk-in at 8pm on top of our full reservations, and my expo called out sick at 6. I was running the pass solo in a 95 degree kitchen, tickets stacked to the floor, and somehow a table sent back a ribeye because it was 'too pink' when they ordered it rare. The owner just stood there watching me juggle, didn't lift a finger. Has anyone else had a shift where you just wanted to walk out mid-service, or am I being dramatic?

Damn, that ribeye thing alone would've had me seeing red! But seriously, is the owner always that hands-off during a rush, or was this a one-off thing where they just froze up?
