Found a trick for keeping my chef's knife from slipping on wet cutting boards
Last month during a prep shift at the diner, I kept losing grip on my cutting board because it was soaked from washing lettuce. I grabbed a damp paper towel, folded it flat, and slid it under the board. The board stayed put through 3 hours of chopping tomatoes and onions without sliding once. Has anyone else used this trick or do you have a better fix for wet countertops?

Oh man, that's a solid trick... I hate when my board slides around.

I read this article from a skateboard shop in Portland that said putting a little bit of silicone spray or wax on the bottom rails of your board can help cut down on that sliding feeling. They tested like 30 different setups and found it works way better than just cleaning the board. I tried it on my own setup last weekend and it actually made a difference, especially on rougher concrete. Have you ever tried anything like that before?
