TIL you can tour a house before the official open house if you just ask the listing agent nicely

I was trying to see a place in Plaza Midwood last week but the only showing time was smack in the middle of my work day. On a whim I called the agent listed on Zillow and asked if I could swing by at 7am before my first job. She said yes and let me in early. No competition, no rush, just me walking around for 20 minutes. Has anyone else tried this or did I just get lucky with a chill agent?

Careful though, that agent might've just been testing if you were a serious buyer instead of a looky-loo.

Yeah my cousin flashed a fake Rolex once and the agent instantly knew he wasn't serious lmao.
