Warning: that $250 'career coaching' package was just a script

I paid $250 for a 3 session career coach in Austin last month. First call she just read off a list of generic resume tips I could've found free. Second call she kept pushing me to buy her $500 LinkedIn makeover package. Third call she ghosted me. Total waste. Has anyone else gotten burned by these online coaching packages?

Austin sounds like the coaching capital for that kind of thing honestly. I had a friend drop $600 on a "business mentor" there and all she got was a Zoom link to a group webinar with 40 other people. The worst part is they always pitch the bigger package before they even finish the one you paid for, so you never actually get the help until you've paid twice.
