My tarp blew off during that storm Tuesday and the garage floor drain saved me
I keep a project car under a cover in the garage here in Boise, and Tuesday night we got gusts up to 50 mph that whipped the tarp right off and left the hood exposed. I went out at 11pm with a flashlight and saw water pooling around the driver side floor pan, maybe half an inch deep, and my stomach just dropped. Turned out the floor drain in the corner was clogged with leaves from the fall, so I scooped them out by hand and the water drained in about two minutes. Pulled the seats and carpet the next morning, ran a fan on it for two days, and the floor pan is dry with zero rust starting. Anyone else deal with leaf clogs in their garage drain before a storm hits?
