Debate: should you patch a tent rip on the trail or wait till you get home?
My Big Agnes tent got a 4 inch tear from a branch last weekend in Shenandoah. I patched it with duct tape on the spot, but a buddy says that ruins the waterproofing later. What do you do when gear fails mid-trip?
