A park ranger in Flagstaff told me my 12 year old tent is 'vintage' and now I can't stop thinking about it
I was at a campsite near Flagstaff last month and the ranger walked by, looked at my old REI tent that I got in 2012, and said 'oh wow, that's a classic, hang onto that one.' I always figured I was just too cheap to upgrade, but she pointed out the old canvas ones actually hold up better in wind than the ultralight ones everyone buys now. So do I keep rolling with old reliable or is she just being nice to the guy with the duct taped pole?
