I finally tossed my cast iron and went back to a $20 nonstick, and I'm not sorry
My line cook buddy watched me season a pan for the third time this winter and said he's used the same cheap nonstick for 4 years because he just replaces it when it dies. I get that cast iron lasts forever, but if I'm spending 20 minutes scrubbing a pan every night, is it really saving me anything?
