That bulletin board at the post office had a 1970s recipe swap and I tried one
Honestly, I used to just snap pics of lost pet flyers and garage sale ads, but last Tuesday I found a handwritten card for a 'lemon cream pie' pinned under a gas bill. I made it last night and it took 20 minutes less than my usual boxed mix, so has anyone else actually cooked from an old board find like this?

My aunt told me she got a banana bread recipe off a laundromat corkboard back in the 90s and she still makes it every Christmas. She said the card had a coffee stain on it and everything, which she took as a good sign. I read somewhere that these random swaps pop up way more in small towns because people trust a stranger's handwriting more than a food blog. The lemon cream pie thing makes me want to check my own post office next time I mail a package. Did yours call for real lemons or the bottled juice?
