I finally learned the real story behind that faded town event poster

Stopped by the community board outside the library in Grass Valley last Tuesday and saw a poster for a harvest fair dated 2019, still taped up and sun bleached. Someone wrote 'cancelled' across it in ballpoint, but underneath there was a note from a local mom asking if anyone wanted to start it up again. I called the number, turns out she'd been checking that board every week for two years hoping someone would bite. We ended up meeting for coffee and now there's a small group trying to bring it back this fall. Has anyone else ever answered a note that was basically a ghost from an old bulletin?
