Wrote off hostel dorms for a decade, then a $19 bunk in Lisbon changed my math
I always figured saving $40 a night wasn't worth the noise, but splitting a 6 bed dorm with two quiet roommates after my hotel in Alfama jacked its rate to $140 a night got me an extra 3 days on the trip. Anyone else find the tradeoff depends way more on who's in the room than the price?
