Why does nobody warn you that the freezer is where cheap meal plans go to die?
Last Tuesday I opened my freezer and found a frozen brick of chili I made in March, a bag of mystery chicken thighs, and two sad ice pops. I had $47 left for groceries that week and I thought I was being smart buying in bulk. Turns out I just made a cold graveyard. I ended up thawing the chili, dumping in a can of diced tomatoes and some cumin, and it fed me four dinners. The chicken thighs became a sheet pan thing with potatoes I got for $1.99. So the freezer wasn't useless, I was just scared of it. What's the weirdest thing you've rescued from your freezer and actually eaten?
