Frozen veggie bags saved my grocery bill after I stopped trusting fresh

I used to side-eye the $1 frozen veggie bags hard, figured fresh was always better. Last month I grabbed a bag of mixed peppers and onions for a stir fry and honestly couldn't tell the difference from the $4 fresh ones. Plus no more tossing half a bag of slimy spinach every week, that was like $6 a pop down the drain. Now I stock up on frozen broccoli and peas when they hit 88 cents a bag at my local Aldi. Anyone else ditch fresh for frozen on specific stuff and never look back?

Frozen corn and green beans are staples in my house now, mainly because they keep way longer than the fresh stuff ever did. I found that if I freeze fresh spinach myself it gets that weird mushy texture, so the frozen bags are actually more dependable for cooking. Once you figure out which vegetables freeze well and which ones turn to mush, it really does save both money and the headache of tossing spoiled produce.
