Worst bricklaying week I ever had - rained 4 out of 5 days
Last spring I was working a job over in Akron, Ohio, and we had this stretch where it rained Monday through Thursday nonstop. We got maybe 200 bricks laid all week when we normally do 1,200. Lost a whole week's pay and had to fight with the supplier over getting wet mortar mix replaced. Anyone else ever have a week that just completely tanked your numbers?

Lost a whole week's pay" - man that hit me right where it hurts. I had a job in Cleveland a couple years ago where we got stuck with this weird wet spring, and the ground was just TOO soft to even start laying. We spent the whole week pumping water out of the trench and trying to keep our materials dry, but we still ended up having to toss like 30 bags of mortar that got soaked through. The worst part is the supplier didn't want to replace them either, said it was "weather damage" and not their problem. That kind of week makes you wonder why you do this job sometimes, but then you get a good weather week and it all feels worth it again.
