Figured I'd messed up the arch on the Henderson job, then counted my courses and got 22 instead of 21
Spent a whole morning convinced the arch on the Henderson St. fireplace looked lopsided and almost tore it out. Counted my courses before pulling anything down and got 22 on the left spring and 21 on the right, so the whole thing was half a brick off from the start. Turns out my story pole was marked wrong, not my laying. Anyone else ever catch a mistake like that before the chisel came out, or do you just trust your eye and start swinging?
