A seagull stole my level on a job in Portland

Working a parapet wall on a 4th floor condo last Tuesday. Had my 48 inch level resting on the stack while I mixed mortar. Next thing I know, this huge seagull swoops down and grabs the plastic end cap. It flew off toward the river with it. Took me an hour to find a replacement cap at a supply house across town. Now I strap the level down every time I walk away, even for a minute. Anyone else had critters mess with their gear on an upper floor?
