Warning: I bought a $9 jar of pickles from Japan just for the ceramic lid and now I keep pens in it
I used to just grab whatever jar of pickles was on sale at the grocery store and toss the glass in the recycling bin without a second thought. Last month I was at a little market in Seattle and saw a jar with a hand painted lid, so I paid $9 for pickles I do not even really like. The pickles were fine, nothing special, but the lid has this little blue wave pattern on it and now it sits on my desk holding pens. My old pen cup was a plastic thing from a hotel, so this is a step up. Am I the only one who buys food just to keep the container?
