Guy at the Nashville botanical garden said my 40 year old ficus was "overpotted and overwatered," and after 2 years of leaf drop I finally admit he was onto something
I moved my ficus benjamina from a 14 inch pot down to a 9 inch one with a chunkier mix last March, and it pushed 22 new leaves in six weeks, so now I want to know if anyone else has downsized a plant they thought needed more room.
