Warning: I lost 3 hours last month on a site that just tracks a lighthouse light in Michigan
Last month I was killing time on a Tuesday and somehow landed on a page that shows nothing but the on and off pattern of a lighthouse beacon on Lake Superior, updated every 5 seconds or so, with a tiny log at the bottom of the last 50 flashes. The whole thing is one plain white page, no ads, no menu, just a green dot that blinks and a timestamp. I poked around the source and it pulls from a webcam some guy in Munising set up in 2019, and he posts a note every few months about whether the light is still working. I sent it to two friends and neither one replied, which is fair. What is your most useless bookmark that you still check out of some weird loyalty?
