Shoutout to the guy who told me my church's website font was unreadable

I run the website for a small church in Spokane. We used this fancy gothic font because it looked "holy." Last year a visitor emailed saying he couldn't read the service times and almost gave up. I switched to a plain sans-serif font like Arial that same week. Now our weekly bulletin downloads went up by like 30 percent. Has anyone else had to kill a pretty font for the sake of older readers?

Preach. Legibility beats vibes every time.

Our church bulletin was in a script font unreadable to anyone over 50.
