Spent 4 months mapping every storm drain in my town and hit 1,200 of them last Tuesday
I work for the city's public works office and my job sounds like watching grass grow, but I got handed a clipboard and a GPS unit to log storm drains around Sioux Falls. Last Tuesday I marked drain number 1,200, which is every single one inside the city limits. The weird part is I now know exactly which ones clog first when it rains, and it's always the four on Cherry Street by the old bakery. Anyone else here keep records of public stuff nobody notices until it backs up?
