I bought a cheap guillotine from an online auction and it cost me $200 to fix
It was a used Kutrimmer from a library sale, looked fine in the photos but the blade was completely out of alignment. Had to pay a specialist in St. Louis to recalibrate it, which took three weeks. Anyone know a good source for checking used equipment before you buy?

I get what Evan_Morgan81 means about a gamble, but a used Kutrimmer for two hundred bucks is still a win even with the fix. That recalibration is a known issue with older models, almost a given. For checking gear, I always ask the seller for a video of it cutting a stack of paper before I bid.
