Some guy at my FLGS called Catan a "baby game" and it's been bugging me all week
I was at the shop on Saturday grabbing sleeves when this dude pointed at the shelf and told his buddy that Catan is what you play before you're ready for "real games." What got me is he wasn't wrong about the depth, but he said it loud enough that a dad and his kid buying their first box clearly heard him, and the kid put it back. Why do so many people in this hobby feel the need to rank games out loud instead of just letting people enjoy what they enjoy?
