That 'post every day' advice from a 2016 SEO blog backfired hard

Found this tiny blog run by a guy in Austin who swore daily posting was the only way to grow. I followed it for 3 months straight, wrote 90 posts, and my traffic actually dropped by half in Boise. Turns out he was selling a course and never showed his own analytics. Anyone else ever trust a niche blog's golden rule and regret it?

Traffic "dropping by half" sounds more like a Google hiccup than a posting problem.
