Picked a 2007 Wordpress blog over a fancy Substack, glad I dug through the archives

Last Tuesday I was hunting for someone writing about fixing old table saws and came across two options. One was a polished Substack with fresh posts every week, the other a dusty Wordpress blog from 2007 that looked like it survived a flood. I chose the old one because the author actually tore down a Delta model 34-444 step by step with photos. The content was messy but real, and one comment from 2011 led me to a parts source that saved me $60 on a arbor nut. Anyone else find that older blogs just have more practical depth, even if the layout hurts your eyes?
