Found a blog about fixing old IBM keyboards. Hit 500 visitors in a month.

I run a tiny repair shop. Someone left a Model M in a dumpster. Looked up how to fix the buckling springs. Found this guy's site. No ads. No flashy design. Just good info. I linked him on a retro computing forum. Traffic blew up for both of us. 500 people in one month. That's huge for a niche thing. Ever found a hidden gem like that?

My own blog looks like it was designed by a raccoon who drank too much Mountain Dew, so I feel this. 500 visitors for something that specific is genuinely impressive, especially when you're not buying ads or begging people to click. I found a similar hidden gem once about restoring CRT monitors from some guy in Germany. His English was broken, his photos were blurry, but the info was gold. I shared it on a vintage tech discord and got a handful of visitors for him. It's funny how one little link can turn a nobody's passion project into something real for a minute. Makes me wish I could find a dumpster with a free Model M in it too, but my luck I'd just find a broken toaster.

Honestly, 500 visitors ain't that big a deal. It's a tiny number. That blog probably gets that many bots crawling it every week. The whole "hidden gem" thing feels like patting yourself on the back for finding a dusty shelf.
