Wrote off that Korean cooking show as background noise until my sister paused it to read the subtitles to me
Last month my sister was watching this Korean cooking show on Netflix and I kept walking past it thinking it was just another loud competition thing. Then she paused it at a sauce tasting part and read me the host's line about how you can taste a cook's whole day in one bite, and I sat down for the rest of the episode. We ended up going through 14 episodes in two weekends, and I'm not really a subtitle guy. Now I'm looking for anything else where the judges actually explain their calls instead of just chewing and nodding. Any recs in that same calm style?
