Serious question, my $3 cassette deck at a yard sale in Reno played a song so off key I kept it

I bought a cheap cassette deck at a yard sale in Reno for $3 about six months ago, mostly because it had a dusty tape already stuck inside it. Got it home, hit play, and out came this warbling cover of "Rhinestone Cowboy" where the singer kept sliding a full note off pitch on every chorus. I laughed so hard I recorded the whole thing to my phone, and now my brother and I play it at every family cookout just to watch people's faces. Part of me thinks the tape got stretched from sitting in a hot garage for years, but honestly I hope it was always this bad. Anyone else stumble onto a song this broken and decide it was too good to toss?
