PSA: That invisible dog fence jingle from 1998 took me 4 hours to find, and it's still stuck in my head
Last week I got this dumb three-note whistle from an old invisible dog fence ad stuck in my head and could not figure out where it came from. I spent about 4 hours on a Tuesday night digging through old VHS rips on a forum called Retrontario, which is all 90s Canadian ads, and finally found it on a tape from 1998. The jingle is literally just a synth going ding-ding-ding with a dog barking over it, and it loops for 30 seconds. It is so bad it wraps around to being catchy, and now my roommate wants to throw my laptop out the window. I am not even joking when I say it has been 6 days and I still hum it while making coffee. Has anyone else gotten a local ad jingle stuck like this, and how do you get it out of your head?
