Appreciation post: the jewelry store on 5th played a synth loop so bad I stayed an extra 20 minutes
I walked into a little jewelry store in Spokane to get a watch battery swapped and they had this drum machine loop playing that sounded like a washing machine fighting a laser. The clerk said it was a demo tape from a local guy in 1988 and they never bothered to change it, so I just stood there grinning while she hunted for the right size battery. Does anyone know where I can find more of this stuff, like is there a whole tape trading scene for accidental bangers like this?
