That forum deep-dive on bread starters took me 9 hours to finish

I found this long post about someone reviving a 30 year old sourdough starter and thought it would be a quick read. It turned into a full rabbit hole with links to flour science and temperature logs that I did NOT expect. Has anyone else gotten stuck on one of those mega threads and lost an entire Sunday to it?
