Shoutout to the guy running the reader blog at my library who posts a new chapter summary every week for the same 900 page book
Stopped by the main branch on Vine Street last Tuesday and saw a printed flyer for a slow read group that has been going through the same novel since January. The librarian told me he puts up a new plot recap every Friday and only covers about 40 pages at a time, so people who fall behind can jump back in without feeling lost. I sat in for one session and honestly the pacing made the story click way better than when I tried to binge it alone last summer. Does anyone know of other places doing this kind of weekly slow read for long books, or is my branch just lucky?
