That $15 garage sale CRT ruined my modern monitor for me
Buddy at the swap meet swore a 2003 Sony Trinitron would look better than my 4k panel. Bought it on a dare, now my eyes hurt going back to the LCD. Anyone else ruined by old glass?

Man, I was the same way. I used to laugh at people hauling those heavy things around, thought it was just nostalgia talking. Then I picked up a free Sony from a curb and hooked it up to an old console. Holy crap, the colors just pop in a way my flat screen never does, even at 4k. Now I get why people hunt for these things. It's not about the resolution, it's about how the image just feels alive and solid somehow. My monitor sits unused half the time now, which is honestly kind of annoying.
