That time I used my grandma's ancient muffin tin and it changed everything
I was over at my mom's place last weekend helping her clean out the garage, and I found this old muffin tin that belonged to my grandma. It's got to be from the 1950s, all beat up and rusty looking with no nonstick coating at all. I figured I'd give it a shot for some cornbread since my usual pans have been giving me burnt edges lately. Greased it up good with butter and popped it in the oven, and I swear those muffins came out perfect - golden brown on top, soft in the middle, and not a single one stuck. I think the old heavy metal just conducts heat way better than my cheap modern stuff. Has anyone else had luck with vintage bakeware that just works better than new stuff?

Old stuff was built to last, that's for sure.

Yeah ryan_stone, my grandpa still uses a toaster from the 70s that weighs like 40 pounds and it just works. I mean, my fancy one died after two years so maybe we lost something along the way.
