Took me 3 years to realize zip ties were killing my PC airflow
I built my gaming rig back in 2019 and used like 40 zip ties to make all the cables super neat against the case walls. Last Saturday my buddy came over to swap out my GPU and he goes, "dude, why are all your fans choked?" Turns out I had bunched every cable right in front of the intake fans, so my CPU was running 15 degrees hotter than it should have for years. I felt so dumb standing there with my little bag of zip ties while he just laughed. Anyone else do the neat cable thing only to find out it was actually hurting their setup?
