I used to call brokers one at a time, now I post my route once and let them come to me
For years I'd sit with a list of 15 brokers and call each one from Dallas to Phoenix, and half of them wouldn't even pick up. Last month I tried posting the route on a couple of transport boards instead, just make, model, and dates, and I had 6 quotes in my inbox by the next morning. I still call to confirm insurance and check the DOT number before I sign anything, but the upfront work is way less now. I probably saved 3 hours of phone tag. Has anyone else switched to posting first, or do you still trust the calling around method more?
