Dispatchers keep quoting me the pickup window, not the delivery window, and it cost me $200
Booked a car from Denver to Kansas City last month and the guy on the phone kept saying 2 to 3 days the whole time. I figured that was door to door, so I flew out and had nothing to drive for two extra days. Turns out that number was just pickup, and the delivery side ran another 4 days because my car sat at a terminal in Topeka waiting for a full load. Now I make them say both dates out loud and I write them in the text thread before I pay a deposit. Has anyone else gotten burned by this, and do you ask for the carrier name up front too?
