I needed to get my F-150 from Phoenix up to my brother in Portland and the first three quotes all came in around $1,100. On a hunch I asked one dispatcher if the day of the week mattered, and he said Tuesday and Wednesday pickups usually run $200 to $300 cheaper since drivers are filling empty lanes midweek. Booked it for a Tuesday morning and paid $780, truck showed up in Portland in four days with no damage, so has anyone else had luck saving money just by being flexible on the pickup date?
