Ran ATV tires at 4 psi last weekend in Moab and I think I had it wrong all along
I have been running my tires at 10 psi on the trails for as long as I can remember because that is what a guy showed me back when I got my machine. Last weekend in Moab a guy in the staging area told me to drop down to 4 psi and I figured why not, the worst that happens is a pinch flat. The ride was totally different, the machine floated over the rocks instead of bouncing off them and my arms were not dead after 4 hours on the Slickrock trail. I was worried about losing ground clearance or rolling a bead but neither happened, and I actually climbed better on the ledges. Now I am second guessing every setup tip I ever picked up from random people at trailheads. What psi are you all running out there and does it change a lot between rock and dirt?
