Tried store-bought moss killer on my driveway vs boiling water, and the water won
I've had moss creeping up my driveway in Decatur for a couple years now, mostly on the shady north side where it stays damp. Back in April I sprayed a $22 jug of moss killer on half of it and just poured boiling water from my kettle on the other half, kind of as a joke. Two weeks later the water side was brown and dead, and the spray side was still green with new growth popping up a month later. I think the heat just gets down into the cracks where the roots are, and the spray only hits the surface. Anyone else had luck with boiling water, or am I going to be doing kettle runs all summer?
