I finally checked how long the Orion Nebula photos actually take, and 4 hours blew my mind
Snapped my first decent shot of Orion from my driveway in Reno and it looked fine until I read that shots like it usually stack anywhere from 2 to 12 hours of exposure. Mine was 4 minutes total, so the faint dust I thought was noise was just missing light. Does anyone here stack in shorter chunks through the night, or do you just let it run and grab the frames in the morning?
