The Wayback Machine saved my $800 mistake on a 1994 Ford F-150 part
I was about to buy a junkyard ECU for my truck because the part number was superseded, but a cached forum thread from 2008 on the Wayback Machine showed a pinout difference that made the new one incompatible. Has anyone else used archived pages to dodge a wrong part or is that just my particular brand of cheap?

Archived Ford truck forums saved me from buying wrong brake calipers once, same deal with part numbers changing.
