Rant: That 'ancient' Roman coin from a private dealer was a total fake

Paid $180 for a supposedly 2nd century denarius at a shop in Phoenix, but after sending it to a lab the metal composition came back 90% modern zinc. The patina was so well done I was almost impressed, but it makes me wonder how many museums got fooled before testing became routine. Has anyone else had a piece they trusted turn out to be a modern copy?
