Pole saw vs hand saw on a storm-damaged maple, and my chain jumped at the worst time
Had a chain jump off my pole saw last Saturday about 20 feet up on a maple in Cedar Rapids, and I finished the limb with a hand saw while the homeowner watched. Half of me says power tools are worth the risk on storm cleanup, the other half says a sharp Silky never quits on you. What are you all running when the tree is already sketchy?
