Warning: Vents that seem to exist only to collect lost tools

I was working on a dryer yesterday and saw the vent design is a maze. My socket wrench fell in, and I spent twenty minutes fishing it out with a magnet. Why do they design these parts so tricky? It's like a puzzle box for adults.

Actually, it was the whole wrench, not just a socket.

Tell me about it. Those vents are basically a secret savings plan for the hardware store, designed to swallow a 10mm socket every time. I'm half convinced the engineers sit around laughing, betting on how long it takes us to find our stuff. Got any other tools stuck in there, or just the wrench?
