A neighbor's note made me ditch my label maker for a grease pencil
I used to print tiny labels for every mason jar and shelf in my pantry, but after a week a jar of lentils got mislabeled as rice and my neighbor June saw it and handed me a grease pencil, saying the labels were just another digital habit with extra steps. She was right, so now I write directly on the jars and wipe them off with a cloth, and it takes me about 20 seconds instead of 5 minutes. Has anyone else switched to a simpler marking method for their storage stuff?
