Tried that $18 peel and stick grout pen on my shower, and it fooled my own mother
My shower grout out in the Northeast Heights house was gray and gross, so I grabbed one of those tile paint pens at the hardware store on Juan Tabo for about $18 instead of regrouting. Took me maybe 40 minutes on my knees and the lines looked great, white and clean, like a whole new shower. Three weeks later the floor tile lines are flaking off right where water sits, but the wall grout is holding fine. Turns out those pens are really just thin paint and they hate standing water, which I probably should have guessed. Anybody here used a grout pen and then sealed it after? Wondering if a coat of sealer would have saved the floor or if I just need to do it the real way.

I put a coat of tile sealer on my floor lines after the pen dried and they've held up about 8 months now, including the spot right by the drain. Just let it cure a full day first or the sealer lifts the paint right off, learned that one the hard way.
