The grout in my Nob Hill bathroom shower cracked and started letting water in about a week ago.

I tried a quick patch with some premixed stuff from the hardware store, but it's already failing, so what's the right way to fix this for good without redoing the whole tile job?

Ugh, did you chip out all the old grout first before patching?

Nah, I just put the new grout right over the old stuff for that extra crunchy texture.
